Article: 2nd Frodsham Guides Go For It! with chocolate!
The first ½ term of this recently re-launched unit saw the 2nd Frodsham Guides finishing off with a design and an advert campaign for 2 new chocolate bars. The guides have enjoyed working on the Chocolate Go For It! for several weeks including making a collage from chocolate bar wrappers, discussing Fair Trade, the origin and history of chocolate.
Of course some sampling was also done in the form of a chocolate challenge, where the guides had to guess the chocolate bar by tasting it blindfolded in a game cleverly put together by our two young leaders. Even the guide leaders were allowed to have a guess, but unfortunately did not win the challenge. The more healthy option came in the shape of fruit kebabs (with an occasional marshmallow), dipped in a chocolate fountain. The designed chocolate bar wrappers are displayed in our HQ, but if you are not a visitor, the photos are below.
