Global conversations - 2012 Olympics - help spread the word!

Introducing a very exciting international project called Global Conversations: It's a chance for Girl Guides and Girl Scouts all over the world to get involved in London 2012, and to find out about each other's culture and values, from Feb - Sept 2012. Focused around a blog site, ideas and discussion topics will be posted each month for members to chat about in their units and feed back their thoughts, which we'll put up as blog entries. Members will comment on blog entries and interact with each other's posts.

Younger members will also be able to follow the progress of a mascot, who'll be sent around the world meeting Girl Guides and Girl Scouts, and blog about her adventures.

The conversations will begin on 22 February, with the subject linked to the environment theme of WTD.

 

If you would like to sign up for your unit to host the mascot – you can email your name and address to programme@girlguiding.org.uk with 'Mascot' as the subject and you'll go on the list.
