Baden Powell Award

The Baden-Powell Challenge Award is the highest award a Guide can achieve

BP ChallengeTo begin the award a Guide must show their commitment to guiding by having:

  • made their Promise
  • gained at least two Guide Challenge Badges
  • gained at least two interest badges

The full syllabus can be found on the Girlguiding UK website.

Baden-Powell Registration

When a Guide starts working on the award they should complete a County Baden-Powell Registration Form. This can be completed and returned electronically to: badenpowell@cheshireforest.org.uk

By submitting this form it allows us to monitor Guides who are undertaking the award within the County and estimate when there will be the demand for challenge weekends.

Baden-Powell Adventure Weekends

A number of challenge weekends will be organised by the County team each year. Details of these adventures will be posted on our Upcoming Events page, along with booking forms. Girlguiding North West England also hold a list of weekends taking place in other Counties who may have places available for ‘out of county’ members.

Baden-Powell Certificate & Badge

When a Guide completes their B-P award, their District/Division Commissioner should order a badge and certificate from the County badge secretary and arrange for it to be presented at a suitable occasion.
