Leaders Going Away with Licence Training Event

Taking unit members to a residential event is often regarded as a significant highlight of their experience in Guiding, offering a wealth of opportunities for shared activities and adventures.

The Going Away with Scheme is available to members who have completed the leadership qualification and have an active role as a leader, commissioner, or adviser.

This one-day training session aims to provide those interested with a comprehensive understanding of the Going Away with Scheme and its components. The training will encompass the aspects of the following modules:

• Planning a successful residential event
• Administration of a residential event
• Managing safety and security while away from home
• Arranging health and first aid provisions
• Organising catering logistics
• Coordinating a programme of activities for participants
• Ensuring the care and maintenance of facilities.

The training is on 25th January 2025 between 9.30am and 4pm in Pettypool Lodge.
