LDP – Risky Business (Virtual – Open to All)

This workshop aims to guide Girlguiding volunteers to create and use risk assessments to create safe spaces for all guiding activities and recognise unsafe situations and plans.

What will I learn?

• Identify Risk – What’s the worst and least that can happen
• Be able to define what is a hazard and what is a risk
• Create effective risk assessments to identify and reduce the risk of harm before the activity takes place
• Use risk assessments to dynamically identify and reduce the risk of harm during the activity
• Challenge unsafe practices and offer suggestions for addressing concerns
