DESCRIPTION:Guides and Rangers (& YLs)\, are you ready to show us your skills in outdoor cooking? \nIf you enjoy fire-lighting\, teamwork and getting creative in the kitchen\, this event is for you! \nYou will be given a set of ingredients to use and a recipe card\, then you’ll light your fire and cook a two course meal in teams of no more than four. \nThere will be some spot prizes for things like best fire\, best teamwork\, best meal presentation \nWhere: Pettypool Activity Centre \nWhen: Sun 12th July 2026\, 11.00am \nCost: £25 per team \nDeadline for booking 6th June \nBooking Form. \nFor enquiries: cooking@cheshireforest.org.uk \nIdeally each unit sending teams would also send a leader to supervise them around the fire. No need for one per team of 4\, if you have multiple teams they can all be situated next to each other so you can oversee them all together. If you are unable to do this\, please contact us.

DESCRIPTION:Guides and Beyond is back for 2026. This is a joint Cheshire Border county and Cheshire Forest county event.\n\n\n\n\nSat 28th February 9.30am to 1st March 2pm 2026\n\nVenue: Pettypool\n\nThe event is open to Guides/young leaders in school years 8\, 9 and 10. This event is a sleepover with activities throughout\, including sessions to find out what Girlguiding has to offer.\n\nFull payment is £55. \nOnce payment has been received\, the space will be reserved.\n\nThe deadline for Booking is 8th February at the latest. DESCRIPTION:Calling all Guides\, Rangers and Young Leaders!\n\n\nAre you ready for an international adventure?Would you like to travel and explore with other members of Girlguiding Cheshire Forest and make new friends? \nGirlguiding Cheshire Forest has exciting opportunities for young people (aged 11 – 18 years old in Summer 2027) to take part in the County trip and region trips. Region trip locations are Tanzania\, Malta\, Asia Pacific\, Poland. County Trip location is currently being finalised but will be in Europe. \nThere are two types of trips; County or Region. Region trips will be ICE (International Community Experience) in Gibraltar for Guides aged 10-14\, and the Main Trips for those 14-18. At present we have one county trip for those 14-18\, we are looking at a younger aged trip\, depending on numbers and applicants. Those applying for ICE and unsuccessful or applied for the main trips and unsuccessful are encouraged to come back and try again in future years. \n\nPlease note\, if you would like to apply for a Region trip\, then you will need to attend the County IntOps event in order to succeed to Region IntOps. Region IntOps places for Cheshire Forest are very limited\, please note that although you may not succeed to Region you may still be offered a place on the county trip.\n\nThe overnight will be full of fun activities that promote team building and camp skills.
