DESCRIPTION:Do you really know your girls? \nYou probably already know which girls love being first to try something new\, and which ones need a little more time. You might have noticed one who finds the noise of a busy evening overwhelming\, or another who asks the same question three times — not because she wasn’t listening\, but because she needs to be sure. \nThese small observations matter more than you might think. \nNeurodiversity — including autism — is often quieter and harder to spot than people expect\, and girls in particular are often skilled at masking how they’re really feeling. That means the ones who need the most support are sometimes the ones who seem fine. \nWe’re running a 2-hour interactive workshop to help you tune into these signals and adapt the way you communicate and design activities — so every girl in your unit feels like she truly belongs. \nBefore you come along\, take a moment to reflect on your girls: \n\nHave you noticed any particular differences in the way one of your girls expresses herself\, communicates with others\, or interacts socially?\nHave you noticed differences in how some of your girls respond to sensory experiences — noise\, textures\, lights\, busy environments?\nAre there girls for whom order\, certainty\, familiarity and routine feel really important — who find changes to plans especially difficult?\n\nIf any faces came to mind reading those questions\, this workshop is for you. \nClick here for booking form \nThis workshop will be facilitated by an external professional\, Guy Rands\, who is a psychotherapist\, educator\, and facilitator with a unique background in science\, education\, and mental health practice. This event is now at capacity\, so booking is now closed.\nJoin us on Sunday\, 8th March\, where brownies can explore Pettypool whilst completing all the activities to achieve the Wayfinder interest badge and skills builder Explorer 2 of the Have Adventures theme. \nThis is a leader-led event where you will receive all the resources you need to complete the required activities at the petty pool site. You will also be able to use the play areas and zip wire\, visit the shop\, and even sing a song or two at the campfire circle. \nThe event will run from 9 am to 3 pm – arrival and departure information will be shared closer to the event to allow for parking and drop-offs. \nCost is £20 per Brownie (Adults and young leaders are free). This includes the Wayfinder Interest Badge\, the Explore Stage 2 Skills Builder\, and a special Brownie Forest Fun Day Badge. DESCRIPTION:Calling all Guides\, Rangers and Young Leaders!\n\n\nAre you ready for an international adventure?Would you like to travel and explore with other members of Girlguiding Cheshire Forest and make new friends? \nGirlguiding Cheshire Forest has exciting opportunities for young people (aged 11 – 18 years old in Summer 2027) to take part in the County trip and region trips. Region trip locations are Tanzania\, Malta\, Asia Pacific\, Poland. County Trip location is currently being finalised but will be in Europe. \nThere are two types of trips; County or Region. Region trips will be ICE (International Community Experience) in Gibraltar for Guides aged 10-14\, and the Main Trips for those 14-18. At present we have one county trip for those 14-18\, we are looking at a younger aged trip\, depending on numbers and applicants. Those applying for ICE and unsuccessful or applied for the main trips and unsuccessful are encouraged to come back and try again in future years. \n\nPlease note\, if you would like to apply for a Region trip\, then you will need to attend the County IntOps event in order to succeed to Region IntOps. Region IntOps places for Cheshire Forest are very limited\, please note that although you may not succeed to Region you may still be offered a place on the county trip.\n\nThe overnight will be full of fun activities that promote team building and camp skills.
