Vacancy – PR Team
We are looking for a couple of people to join our existing County PR team. The person would work alongside the PR Adviser and her team. They would need to be available to volunteer for a couple of hours per week on a regular basis, with additional hours around the times that Forest News is prepared (five times per year) and eUpdates are created (monthly).
Essential requirements
- Regular access to a computer
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Ability to work both alone and part of a team
- Experience managing social media platforms
- Good level of written English including spelling and grammar
- Basic knowledge of GDPR
- Attention to detail
Additional beneficial skills
These skills are not essential as training will be provided, but are a benefit if you already have them:
- Experience using Canva
- Experience of using Mailchimp
- Experience using WordPress
- Experience using video editing software
- Basic graphic design
Key tasks
- Creating Forest News, five editions per year, using Canva (or InDesign if you have the software and are able to use it)
- Creating eUpdates, once per month, using Mailchimp
- Assisting with email enquiries
- Assisting with social media channels
- Assisting with website updates, using WordPress
The role does not have to be done by someone who is active in Guiding, maybe you know someone who would love this kind of experience for their education or professional life!
