Could you be a Trustee for Girlguiding Cheshire Forest?
We currently have an exciting opportunity for two people to get involved in an engaging, decision-making Trustee role for Girlguiding Cheshire Forest, a charity that is committed to helping all girls know that they can do anything.
Girlguiding has a rich history of over 110 years, Cheshire Forest county is a charity in its own right and was set up in 1977. Girlguiding provides girls with opportunities to explore, have fun and know that they belong. Through fun, friendship, challenge and adventure we empower girls to find their voice, inspiring them to discover the best in themselves and to make a positive difference in their community. We currently have over 3,000 young members plus over 700 adult volunteers.
The charity is governed by a board of Trustees who meet on a regular basis to provide strategic direction, oversight of the work of the charity and to give support to the Chair of Trustees.
We are looking for two people who are not members of Girlguiding, but who align with our values and have a variety of experience in areas such as governance and leadership, property management, financial management, operations of a business or charity, digital expertise, marketing, fundraising and equality, diversity, and inclusion. They do not need all of those skills to be considered for the role.
The volunteers of Girlguiding Cheshire Forest are passionate and committed to ensuring all our young members know they can do anything; and we encourage the Trustees to engage with the members to understand more about us as an organisation. By understanding who we are and what we do, we believe a trustee will be able to bring their skills and experience to helping us grow as a youth organisation and making us more robust as a charity.
